From Puerto Vallarta:
Take the bus from the main Bus Station in Puerto Vallarta (not far from the airport).
Buses leave around 10 am, 12 pm and 2 pm daily, the trip takes about three and a half hours and costs about $10 CAN.
If you have to overnight in Puerto Vallarta, we can recommend some modest hotels, if you've never been to Puerto Vallarta, it's quite interesting to see at bit of it.
Another option (the one we like) is to hire a ride from San Blas, we can arrange to have you picked up at the airport in Puerto Vallarta. It's a three and a half hour drive (each way) and costs $1500/1600 pesos ($125/135 CAN) depending upon the driver.
